SFF.Network [SFF Network] Speculation That AMD’s Dual Fiji Card Could Be Named Gemini

Thanks to India’s relatively transparent Customs agency, we may have our first hint as to the name for the upcoming AMD dual-Fiji card. The Gemini name makes sense, as the single GPU card is known as the ‘Fury’ – a reference to the ‘Furies’ (Erinyes)- female deities of vengeance. This new card may be named after Greek-Roman mythological figures and twins Castor and Pollux, sometimes referred to as the “Gemini twins.”

Possibly, but AMD commonly use 'Gemini' as a codename suffix for dual-GPU cards under testing, even if never released for example.

R9 Fury X2 seems much more powerful and in-line than R9 Gemini. It's not like AMD has the credit to start flagship-naming their cards and wow people into spending more, like the GTX Titan can.

I was thinking along the lines of R9 Fury Gemini, but I doubt that's how it will be named.
