This year at Computex had quite the sparse number of announcements for Mini-ITX and microATX motherboards. Most of what was on display were variations of existing products, so this roundup will be regrettably brief.

The Biostar H170GTN is actually quite cool, price seems right, too. Important part for case designers (picture from their ATX board):

If your case supports those angled SATA connectors, it will probably support U.2 on the edge like this as well.

But you're right, this is an extremely sparse collection of boards. What a bummer.

Even though mATX and mITX basically received no love this CompuATX, you did find some interesting boards. For me it's probably going to be an ASRock X99M Extreme4, combined with a second-hand i7-5xxx, depending how interesting those AM4 boards will be.
