Thought I'd start a little thread of our own, as there's a lot of misinformation floating around. This way people can make informed decisions before buying sticks of RAM specific to Ryzen.

Criteria:
- You must be able to complete Cinebench R15 stress test
- Die type can be reported using Taiphoon Burner (LINK)

Report format:

Effective/Achieved speed - Rated Speed - Module Name - Module Size - Timing - Die type - Board tested on - CPU @ CPU Speed - Link to RAM

I probably could poke around a bit more .... just wondering if tightening up the timings at 3600MHz will yield better results than 4000MHz with loose timings ?

So i got the 3200 Dark Pro sticks working at 3600 a few times. Weren't stable though. I could play a bit more with the timings but ...
If i use the timings from the 4000 sticks on the 3200 sticks, i can reach a stable 3466 MHz + 3.9 GHz on the CPU !

Cinebench score is 1728

I've been folllowing Ryzen RAM overclocking since it was clear it was going to be more involved than with current Intel solutions and I found this to be a very complex area. You see the most extreme examples of people not getting over DDR4-2133 and other people just having to increase the voltage a little to get DDR4-3466 stable.

A few niggles:
- "DDR4-3200" is a rating/spec measured at 'million transfers per second', so MegaTransfers/sec or MT/s. It is not MHz, DDR4-3200 runs at 1600MHz. DDR RAM does two transfers per clock tick.
- a certain RAM speed and/or latency can be achieved by manual primary and secondary timings, but also some more specific settings like Geardown Mode or ProcODT (more info).
- it is overclocking, so performance achieved depends on the CPU, memory, chipset and firmware (BIOS).
- just running CineBench doesn't cut it for memory stability. If it can't survive something like a full 3DMark or SysMark run, it's not stable IMO.
- RAM instability 'on the edge' of stability is hard to detect and can creep on you for a while. If left unresolved it might corrupt stored data.

Nice results there!
Do you have a build thread going for your system yet?

OK a bit pedestrian by comparison but for the team, XMP mashed with one click in the bios for memory. XD

Edit: XMP working on Asrock Taichi x370 at the below speeds as well. Same kit.

3200Mhz - 3200MHz - GSkill Ripjaw V - 16GB (2x8GB) - CL16-18-18-38 1T - Hynix - ASrock X370 ITX/ac - Ryzen 1700 @ 3.7 GHz (1.25v)

Not yet, but building it this weekend :)
Trimming cables for a small case is a bish.
Also im contemplating waiting for a VEGA gpu and an EK water block to match it...
*SPOILER ALERT* It just wouldn't feel right putting in red liquid into an nVidia gpu :p

What is that small case you are talking about???

Hahahahah .... i wish it was what you're thinking it is :p
That's still in the planning phase.
I'm doing a build in the Silverstone SG13. Something to keep me busy and distract me the day to day stuff.

ASROCK AB350 Gaiming ITX/ac AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 3200 16GB Kit CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 R (red) v5.39 - CPU has been stable at 3950 .

Currently running manual timings 3066 - 15 17 17 34 51

XMP works for 2933 & 3066 in the BIOS ..but defaults to CL 16 18 18 36 54 like the specifications . Tried 3200 at the XMP settings and manually with 1.5v and it still would not post . For CPU was more the same tried 4000 and 3975 through BIOS and it would hang without going into windows . So far have only used multiplier and voltage .

The 15 17 17 34 51 timings are kind of unique , did not see them posted anywhere , found them by running SPD summary like the attachment . I am running Win7 the attachement is leeched from another post

Kenrico have you tried the new AGESA 1.0.0.6a firmware update ? I believe its version 3.00 for the board ?

Posted this in the ASRock thread, but anyone able to tighten the timings down on Samsung B-Die 3600 CL17 (i.e. Galax HOF) to 3200 @ CL14 on the ASRock boards? I've been trying but crash in P95 within seconds. 16-15-15-34 seems to be stable. Also, manually setting command rate to 1T and disabling Gear Down Mode seems to give me problems when POSTing.

I saw on Reddit that only today the asrock itx boards got the agesa bios update. Is this true? If yes it should help

No - only because within hours of the BIOS going live someone posted on reddit (?) that he had tried it and was not getting pass 2933 on his not samsung b . At least one guy said he made it to 3200 now . Maybe a mixed bag like the big brothers AGESA based updates
