Hi All,

So I'm working on a new build. Planning on running it completely watercooled on 2x 184mm rads with low profile Noctua fans and a D5 pump + reservoir combo.

Now besides the fun watercooled stuff, the idea is to run a I7-8700K with a PNY Quadro P4000, some NVMe SSDs and 32GB of ram.

Now there are some power consumption tools on the web, but they all give different outcomes.

Any of you guys know what would be work? I need to know if a SFX PSU would be needed (450 - 600w) or if I can manage with a HDPlex or similar solution.

I'm thinking around a 300w minimum - 95w CPU (maybe 150w for boost headroom), 110w GPU and other parts. The HDPlex 400w DC-DC will work, but you'd need to pair it with a solid 350w+ brick, or the 400w AC-DC.. when it finally arrives.

Safest bet IMHO, especially with a card that costs what the P4000 does, is a 450w or greater SFX power supply.
