In August Last Year AMD released new AM4 CPUs, maybe we should try make a petition for at least one last AM4 APU, they wouldn't even need to make it much more powerfull Then the 5700G I Think, it would be enough if they Just added PCIe 4.0 from the CPU side, since PCIe 3.0 is a bottleneck with newer SSDs and in some cases GPUs. I can imagine that people with small systems with ITX boards or the Deskmini X300, which maybe don't even fit a GPU would be happy to buy one even if its not cheap, because it will be still cheaper to buy just a new APU without having to change the RAM and the Mainboard. Also people would be able to get way more out of PCIe EGPUs over Oculink. If the PCIe 4.0 is over the CPU I Imagine that itx mainboards will be able to support it after a Bios update rightaway. Since the Deskmini uses the PCIe of the CPU it would support it most probably aswell if ASRock would add a Bios update. What do you think about it?

I'm a huge fan of the 5700G for ITX-sized VM hosts. PCIe 4.0 would be nice, but so would a better iGPU if we're making wish lists :D But realistically, I'd rather see 12 core or 16 core models. 5900G or 5950G anyone? :D

AM5 (and DDR5) prices still feel too high to be worthwhile.

For me PCIe 4.0 would be enough by itself. I have a Deskmini X300 with added Occulink Port (max. PCIe 3.0 4x with 5700g) a decent external GPU (even with 3.0 4x) should beat any iGPU upgrade they could make, especially if the APU would get PCIe 4.0, which would double the PCIe speed with 4.0 cards.

It would beat the x600 with max. APU in gameing 99.9% of the time with an PCIe 4.0 4x egpu (as long as VRAM on theGPU is not overfilled it should also do so with PCIe 3.0 4x). Because of this I would prefere more CPU performance after PCIe 4.0 over an improved iGPU.
