Occasional Modder and Thread Lurker

Well, I got to the point where lurking isn't cutting it anymore.

I occasionally build and mod computers. I've been bz with work lately.
Though stupid manager annoyances created the need of calming my mind with something again, hence SSF mods.
I design Industrial Crap for a living, paired w/ other Tech skillz I learned from leveling up in real life. (This no respawn sucks...)

Modding a EVGA Hadron Air (Ripped the HDD cage out, designing new brackets for CD drive)

Building a Dan Case (Running into CPU cooling issues)

So here I am, will be trying to ask some questions somewhere ...

Welcome ! Glad you decided to have a voice and speak. I am curious what kind of industrial crap is being made by you. More often than not it seems this community is connected through interest in the mechanical and engineering world.

Any equipment that brings water into a Commercial Building and some equipment that Pre conditions Oily/Decon/Dirt coming out of the building. The likely hood that you stayed inside a building using our stuff is pretty much 90%, if you live in the US. But no one knows our stuff bc it is out of sight out of mind =)

It is because this industry likes to tinker hahahahaha
If it is not broke improve it, if its broke fix it, if it is improved take it apart and redesign it... start from the beginning again.

Oh and my gamer wife is tearing her Hadron Air case apart also to make it quiet on Air.

Started as a QC Robotics Programmer, but didn't find a job that was stable for more than 1 year in the US.
Ended up as a Graphic Designer and Web in industrial Marketing LOL.
While doing that I started designing injection mold parts and high precision metal bend/cut components.

Looks like I have some work ahead of me.

If you going the same path that i am going down, it is not easy.
You use different part of the brains and can cause lots of headache.

Creativity, Problem solving, Mechanical Thoughts and Calculative objective thinking, forward thinking.
Which normally are multiple people arguing on a project possible and impossible actions. Mashed into one operator.

Having been a creative in grade school, going into Computer Engineering for post secondary, and now trying to combine the two; I have some understanding as to what you mean.
