Hey guys,

Im having trouble keeping my Nvidia 2080ti founders edition cool... atleast I think? When im playing games like BFV or certain low graphics VR games, the fans of the 2080ti will spin up super fast for about 3 seconds and then normalize. Im assuming its due to overheating? I have 2 120mm Noctua fans underneath it pulling air in from below the case - im not sure if that's actually helping or not.

I only have a 1080p monitor which only runs at 60hz so im not really pushing the card that much.

Any suggestions?

What driver revision are you using? using the latest Win 11 drivers, I noticed the same behavior for the first time in the 2+ years I've owned the card.

Once I applied my undervolt settings again in MSI afterburner, it stopped doing it.

I keep the driver up to date - but its also using the creative driver and not the game version of the driver.

Everytime I try that MSI afterburner thing I keep messing something up. I'll have to try again.
