Hi, new forum member, starting a new build. The build can be seen here. I've currently got it all together however the CPU is cycling between low forties and high fifties (degrees C). I guess the next step is to remove and refix the CPU cooler?

That's where I would start. Sounds like either the CPU isn't making good contact to your cooler. Or maybe air in your liquid cooler.

What do you mean by ''cycling between''? Description of your potential problem is too vague.
What is the ambient temp, idle temp and load temp?

Your description does not seem to indicate a CPU cooler mis-installation to me.
If it is not installed properly, then the sign is higher-than-common idle and load temp.
If you see fluctuating temp either during idle or under load, then it should be something else.

I think cycling between means OP's CPU temperature is somehow fluctuating between low forties and high fifties, keep changing for unclear reasons.

Edit: I agree with @tinyitx that it doesn't seem like a CPU seating problem, at least from the description OP mentioned above.

@VenomousFiligree you'll need to describe your problem more:
- What kind of applications running during that time? (both in foreground & background)
- Check your process monitor as well - which ones utilizing the CPU the most? Try to see if there's correlation between the high temp and the CPU load.
