Finally getting around to this post.

Upgraded to a 4090, after a small scare with my RX 6800 XT, where I thought it died for a while. Actually, I also had to RMA the first 4090, as it suddenly died. No burnt pins on either the GPU side or the cable side, but thankfully the RMA with the local distributor was painless. One for one replacment on the spot.

Along the way, and I also upgraded the Great Wall Nirvana 850W to an ATX 3.0 PSU, the FSP Hydro G Pro 1000W, and with custom cables that made the cable management way easier. Changed out the three top mounted Sunon fans for actually good fans, Noctua NF-A40x20, and the two bottom Sunons for a Thermalright TL-B8.

Now the build is way more quiet. And fully maxed out.

Personally, I really like the look of a SFF case that is fully loaded, and packed to the brim. The ATX PSU at 150mm in depth is really the maximum that one should have if using a very tall card. As a full true 3 slot 4090, this is card is one of the only ones that will fit into the the N-ATX v2 while using an ATX board. Full ATX Motherboard, ATX PSU, 3 Slots 4090, full thickness 25mm case fans, making full use of (almost) all of the case.

Temperatures wise, the 4090 is one cool beast. Overbuilt and massive, and with a slight undervolt, temperatures while gaming at 3440x1400 on max settings in Darktide, temperatures don't go above 65C, with my ambient being usually 30C to 32C.

Small little problem I faced, it's either the PSU or the provided power cable. Probably a combination of both, but 95% on the PSU. What's the issue? The placement of the on/off switch of the FSP PSU is covered by the power extension cable. Not too sure if it is noticeable in the picture clearly though.

Some other pictures of the setup, and testing before closing the panels:
