Hello,

I don’t know if it has been reported before, but I found a way to keep very reasonable GPU temperatures in my NCase M1 (v.5).

Solution: Seal the GPU to the bottom of the case with weather stripping such that exhaust air doesn’t recirculate into the cooler.

The required weather stripping thickness depends on the gap between the shroud and the case bottom. In my case, the gap between the EVGA XC ULTRA 2080 is about 1/2 inch.

Results: 70-75*C with the default fan curves.
78-82*C with fans at 50%.

Other: DarkRock TF CPU cooler intake + 120mm exhaust beside it.

See picture below (sorry for quality, but it’s enough to show what I did). I’ll get black stripping and make it look nice. This is what I had on hand when experimenting.

Indeed, adding "ducting" so the GPU can't recycle hot air will help the temps considerably, without using fans. It can also be quieter if you would have turbulence or resonance issues with the impossible to tune sets of fans on the GPU and bottom of the case. I was hoping there would have been 3D printed ducts designed along the way, for more popular cards inside this case.

Well done !
