Lost in the shuffle of life was that MSI has updated their Trident 3 line to Intel's 12th Gen desktop CPUs. Featuring up to an I7-12700F CPU, the 4.72L SFF prebuilt includes an RTX 3060 12GB, 16GB of DDR4, and 1TB NVME SSD in the highest end model. Also included is a 330 watt external power brick. Pricing is currently between $1,600 and $1,750 depending on the retailer.
The Trident 3 line has been one of the more well built console style machines. One benefit is that the GPU has always been one of MSI's AERO ITX line, but in this case we don't get the more powerful RTX 3060Ti. Personally, I question if Intel's 12th Gen I7 can really be tamed in such a small case as even large AIOs struggle with it, and I would prefer to see a Ryzen based line up. Maybe for Ryzen 7000 series? MSI? You there?
