I saw this today and knew someone in here would be excited. I'm going to bet that this A2000 will be using the full GA106 die with 12 GBs of ram. I look forward to some amazing builds with this in the future.

Pretty hard to guesstimate. Quadro A4000 retails for 1400€ and if we look at the laptop versions, A2000 (laptop) has half the specs of the A4000 (laptop).

Anyway, it's a very interesting GPU, especially for those needing CUDA (AI, scientific computation) or RTX rendering (Blender uses it for example). To get the similar CUDA core count + tensor/RT, in a low profile package, you need a Tesla T4 that costs 2700€ has no output and requires some custom cooling.

So, it's an even more cut down TU106 die.
Full GA 106 cuda count: 3840, only found in laptops
3060 cuda cores: 3584
A2000 cuda cores: 3328

On top of that, it has only 6 Gbs of ram at 12Ghz instead of 14Ghz in the other 2 models.

Still, I feel they did all this to allow it to be powered solely by the PCIE slot. This will be far and beyond the most powerful card that doesn't need external power. If the MSRP is 450, then there is a chance to get this within reason.

Lol, 3060 equivalent huh?
At 70W, and that formfactor, there is no way it will compete with even the BS laptop 3060. This is a 1660-1660S equivalent.

I agree. I made this thread before all the information was released.

Still, by the numbers, it should perform better than the 3050ti. The extra ram and cores will make a difference.

Don't forget that this is not a gaming card. And to my knowledge, this is the only low profile card with Tensor Cores and RT Cores (except the Telsa T4). It also has more than twice the Cuda Cores compared to the 1660S ... see it more like an "accelerator". As a developer, I see many usage for this kind of card outside of "just" gaming.

Also, it's not that far from a laptop RTX3060, whose TDP ranges from 60W to 115W (remember, there's no more such thing as Max-Q nor Max-P) ... and we all know that power draw increases faster than performance gain.

Laptop RTX 3000 series specs: https://www.nvidia.com/fr-fr/geforce/gaming-laptops/compare/

EDIT: Mobile 3060@70W has 8.1 TFLOPS while this A2000 has 8 TFLOPS (FP32 performance).

There's a chart listing all RTX 30 Laptop variant specs (TGP, base clock, boost clock, FP32/single precision perf) : https://videocardz.com/newz/there-a...f5a02b25737-1628777570-0-gqNtZGzNAk2jcnBszQ2O

Wonder how this would compare to my Quadro RTX3000 in my dev machine at work (Precision 3240 compact) as its a low profile 2 slot Quadro unit, but i was not able to find a whole lot about it information wise, nor find any records of a pcie desktop based RTX3000. specs on the A2000 look similar for performance as the quadro RTX3000, wonder if dell will update to a RTX A3000 for the replacement to the 3240, as you can still order them with a P400. . yikes!
