I can't say I've found anything to contradict his claims, there is plenty of airflow possible with the abundance of openings. Noise will typically be generated from the fans and the conditions are good for them to run well ! But be sure to read up on the different types of fan grills to be sure to choose the right noise-performance tradeoff.
