Hello! I am relatively new to the world of small form factor so I was hoping I could get some advice to a few questions I have. I honestly have no idea were to start but I have always wanted to build my own case at some point in my life.

So the project I have started is to make a simple cheep desktop case for recycled laptop motherboards. It would be a sort of DIY kit because there will have to be some drilling and soldering near the end of assembly. I have put a lot of thought into this and talked with a few experts that I know and I really think I can do it. But I am currently working two part time jobs and don't have the time or money to design it in a CAD program. Is there any way to get a modeling program cheaper than CAD that still can be converted to the correct format? Also I would like to know of any good businesses that will make custom cases like this.

Thanks for any help!
