Just an idea for in win choppin users with low wattage gpu option

I would love to see this, anyone have the case in hand?

pick up a pci riser -
make a small cut incision out on the grill cover at the bottom, so it is a bit hidden
pass through the cable
connect the card from there.
make a mini cardboard box or 3d print fot the gpu
it is entirely portable just plug the gpu if its for gaming.

The 150w might be too close too fry, hence changing the internal components

Usingl an intel T line pairing with a 1030 /1050, (4600T/1030)

another option is to add a better card 1060, pop out the internal psu and add in an hdplex or something similar. though its not going to be brickless you have to carry that extra log of AC brick.

Then cut a cardboard box for the 1050 or 3d printed for the stand alone mini box whenever you need to game.

Sorry dont have the mod yet just an idea to put it out there. but surely i'll build on this If I managed to get the case.

Cheers~

pic reference but the cut should be on the bottom.

I built something in the in win chopin. Had to hack the case a little!
Everything i did i learned from this forum and just wanting to tinker.
I have no real power tools, just a dremel and hand tools. So please
be gentle its my first real build. Josh from NFC was a huge help
with his 24 pin cable. Plus his willingness to answer all of my questions.
Thanks Josh. This allowed my hd plex to fit where i put it. Its a work
in Progress and is still a little rough.
Asus z97i
I5 4690 k (not overclocked) can do a slight without it burning up!

wow awesome job man! thats a really tight fit! is the motherboard still connected to its original place? is it possible to see the i/o port backside? thats a great project .. I wonder if an hdplex 160 same orientation then using a single 1030 will also work.

Yeah it was all very tight, motherboard is on the original
standoffs. Hd plex 160 is a little bigger i think, you would
have to modify even more maybe. I still need to work on
the gpu side panel. I used a mesh i got from home depot
it works, just not very pretty!!

Hi man, it's really tight there. Why don't you use and 2nd PSU to power up GPU. I think it will be better if you just use 160W HDPLex.

I think it's better if we can change the internal PSU to better one. Once this is done, there are so many way to set up the EGPU, I am think that we can stick that on the back wall of the case.

It is tight but I wanted to use items i already had. It works just fine no issues
and the 400 watt hd plex powers everything and has plenty of extra horsepower
left over! Maybe not the most efficient but it allows upgrades in the future. A second
psu would mean more stuffing in the the small case. i dont have any heat issues
but im not overclocking either.

we can attach the second PSU outside of the case, right?.
Anyway, i don't know if it possible for the second PSU or not. i am quite of confuse about it.

Nice job man I was wanting to do something like this, but decided to go with s4m instead. Chopin is a great lil case tho. Hopefully they make another version that's lil bigger on other side so can be done easier. I seen another one done with a low profile 1050ti Zotac and msi has one two and it fits at the bottom where the PSU was with a lil modding. Did you make a custom panel for the back or just left open?
