Hello,
I was unlucky enough to buy the Fractal Design S24 AIO pump. A pump that would end up on a recall list due to issues pulling heat away from the CPU allowing dangerous temperatures of over 100c when playing games. This is a huge deal because this 400mm tube length pump which was on the recommended parts list for this case was EXTREMELY difficult to fit due to the physical characteristics of the MSI Z690i Unify mobo. I ended up getting it to fit in the wrong orientation, as its supposed to go under the SFX PSU. I was unable to accomplish this after multiple hours of trying to orient it in several directions.
Well, I learned the EK 240 Basic is very easy to work with with this build, with its 350mm tube length, where its supposed to have the tubes oriented in the 9 o'clock position and go up and to the right like I somehow eventually managed with my S24 . Apparently I forgot my own research when I first built this PC, where I found this pump is not compatible with this case/mobo combo, and would need to orient the tubes at the 6 o'clock position, after getting rid of the M.2 Heatshield. I can't do that, as I am using all 3 M.2 slots as my only storage. What I need to know is if there are any pumps that are not from Fractal Design, that can fit easily with my strict constraints.
Alternatively, I could just throw in the towel and simply get the Cooler Master NR200, but I would prefer not to.
Here is my build. I would prefer to have the AIO oriented just like this if possible.
Recall info if you're interested.
