Hello all, my experience with building dates back to my college days (when Lian-Li Mid towers were the wonderful gems, they still are). Fast forward to now, being a father and having my wife and kids taking up most if not all of my space, having endured the whole "Macs can game, just turn all settings to low" debacle and tried a gaming laptop which blew up on me a few weeks ago, I am ready to build my own PC again.
My limited research short listed 2 cases: Louqe Ghost vs Dan A4. Gone with the pangea Ghost without any tophats since it's a wee bit smaller than the A4, with component dimensions limitations in mind. So, it's going to ship in a week (2nd batchers put your hands up!)
Here's what I am planning to stuff in it:
CPU: i7-8700K
Mobo: ASRock Z390 Phantom ITX
Cooler: Noctua NH-L9 (bottom fan only)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32Gb (2 x 16Gb)
HDD: Samsung 970 EVO/PRO M.2 1TB
Graphics: Gigabyte GTX1070 Windforce
PSU: Corsair SF 600
Nothing edgy and had to work with the dimension limitations. However, I still have some doubts regarding:
- heat, noise, etc (didn't order any tophat to keep the footprint small, so cannot fit in extra case fans)
- if i can swap in a RTX2070 in there and keep things cool and quiet? if yes, which card would fit?
Comments/suggestion appreciated!
