I'm about to purchase a new laptop, and have found one I like. I will be away from a wall plug most of the time, and am concerned about battery life. The laptop I'm considering comes with a 256GB M.2 Sata plus a 1TB 7200rpm SATA drive. How much power will this drive consume at idle? I'd use it only for storiage- video and maybe games that I am not currently playing. Would I be better off just yanking the SATA drive out and just using an external drive when necessary?

Thanks.
