News Gigabyte GA-IMB410TN - ThinITX meets PCIe x16

Gigabyte released a nice Thin ITX board that has support for PCIe x16 with 65W support.

Nice, but it's disappointing IMHO to see mSATA being used in 2020. I'm sure some thin ITX boards have gone M.2 storage.

In other news, I thought this Asrock (Q170) IMB-190 was a nice board, again if you can live with mSATA

Asrock has the IMB-1222 (Q470E), IMB-1223 (H420E) and IMB-X1222-WV (W480E, Xeon CPU) if you want thin mini-ITX, m.2, up to 80W LGA1200 CPU and PCIe-16x. Non Xeon boards are available as 12V or wide voltage (-WV suffix), while Xeon one is wide input only.

Problem is ... I can't find them anywhere lol.

Yeah, there are some pretty cool industrial / OEM boards out there. But either very hard to get or crazy expensive if you want to buy just one as normal consumer.

I previously found a UK industrial company for the 9th gen boards. They would sell in bulk, but it was something like 20 boards. I'm not sure I could find enough nerds....

I attempted a GTX 1060 build with the older GA-IMB310TN, which also claims 65w CPU support but PCIe x4 slot. I canned the idea when I tested out the board and found it power limited any CPU to 25w max, with no way around it. Hopefully the IMB410TN isn't so power limited, but buyer beware I'd bet money it has a motherboard enforced power limit that is <65w.

They make for great little server builds though!
