I do hope the ODD slot option will return. That was one of the bigger draws the M1 had for me over any other case.

with how big the 4000 series cards are, we may need to scrap this idea of reference design and go for vertical iteration of design that allows for 4 slot GPUs...similar to ZZAW C1 design

Or just get that type of case if you need the space for the GPU. There are plenty of excellent vertical sandwich cases around, no real need to turn every case into the same thing.

Would you keep the dual 3.5 HDD bracket?
Ncase M1 was the only case under 14L with full length GPU and multi HDD.
○ne thread on my ncase m1's HDD bracket stripped, cannot buy spare part, super sad.

I'm probably going to stick w/ air cooling - I still have my C14 coolers I'm using; but are there other air coolers that the new design has in mind?

2022-08-28: M1EVO is 40XX friendly.

Most people would agree that 40XX GPUs are big, so we made the necessary changes. As a result, M1EVO should support all of the 4090 GPUs and most 40XX GPUs without a PCIe Riser.

A list of updates:
1. M1EVO production unit has arrived
2. We are still waiting for a few 4090 AIB GPUs to arrive
3. We will test the fit and thermal of the bigger 4090 AIB GPUs
4. We will send the production unit for review
5. Then start IC or preorder on ncases.com

I know a lot of people are looking for a SFF case that supports the really big 4090s but I am wondering what the final dimensions will be?

2022-10-23: Testing an air-cooled build with 30XX GPU + 4090FE.

We have not received the 4090 GPUs yet, so test-fitting Thermalright SS135 on Noctua A12x25R + MSI 3070 Suprim X + ATX PSU. FWIW, Micro-ATX motherboards will fit, and there is space for 25mm thick fans between the Top Panel and GPU.[/URL]

4090 FE *could fit via direct contact with minor tweaks to the design and a custom 12P GPU cable. But, of course, this will also depend on the back of the motherboard.

Is there a way to change the components orientations. My OCD won't let me have it "inverted"

You mean with the GPU at the bottom? Yes, the case is invertible but this will greatly affect your GPU thermals.
Yes. Gpu at the bottom and motherboard with the top part on the top.
I'm sure it will but I probably won't be running buffy hot components in it.
In any case I was planning to build a ventilated desk in the future

Sorry i meant the mATX motherboard, with mITX it should fit. I also hope we can still mount the water reservoir of the old M1 at the back of the case.

Is this a case with multiple configurations inside (traditional/inverted/sandwich) or is this meant to be strictly a traditional configuration case? I ask because of the image of the Asus Strix 40XX that was used earlier in the thread.
