Sounds awesome! I wonder if it would be possible to have a heatsink that covers both the cpu and gpu...

No, because:
- new M.2 SSDs (960 Evo/Pro etc) are not so hot as 950Pro
From reviews I've seen that it doesn't matter all that much, the heat issue between the 950 and 960 series. The 960 will run into thermal throttling too, just a little later than the 950. But this shouldn't happen if you're not benchmarking it regularly or fully stressing it for extended periods of time.

Yes, there is no throttling in everyday tasks.

Guys, what do you think. What is better: 17mm radiator & 10mm fan OR 12mm radiator & 15mm fan?

@aquelito very interesting idea, but more expensive and more harder to implement

A suitable flat heatpipe costs around 10€.
If the case is made of aluminium, then it can easily be made as a passive heatsink for the SSD.

What is the thermal resistance of each radiator ?
If both are close enough, then I'll go with 15mm fans.

You'll be able to find technical data related to heatsinks performances on this british heatsinks manufacturers website :

Oh I'm excited ! Also take note of the PCH temps, I'm curious if the CNPS2X will have better results in that area.

Since you're already testing these two, would you mind adding a third test where you remove the top portion of the Engine 27 from the bottom and apply a high quality TIM? I will hopefully be doing this test in the next week or two and it would be great to have more data for the community.
