As my understanding, doesn't Acetek own just about every patent on most aio coolers? I think even Corsair and the rest have to pay royalties. Was just wondering if there was another that could replace the 92mm gap in the market if they had their own design.

Pretty sure Asetek did corsair but the google fu came up with this: ( https://www.gamersnexus.net/guides/2122-who-actually-makes-liquid-coolers-oems ) I'm thinking Corsair, deep cool, cooler master, and swiftech have to pay for using the patent rights, but I don't know for sure. I do remember them suing everyone and their momma a couple of years ago though, and winning a lot of them.

Edit: Looks like sanity finally came thru. Looking at appeals in the last couple of years, and some of the companies won their rights back. Maybe one of them can step in if the market seems viable?

I hope so, but not very much since I imagine its not a huge market. Maybe Asetek loosing rights & small markets is why they're pulling the plug.
