Prototype Any safety standards needed for a SFF case for small scale production?

Hi all,

I've developed a prototype ITX case, but was wondering: are there any safety standards that need following in it's design or construction before I make any final changes for small scale production and sale?

It's constructed primarily using CNC'd aluminium sheet and will be assembled by me.

I'm based in the UK.

Any thoughts or pointers very much appreciated.

In the USA, no. If you have an AC cord extension you can go the extra mile to have it UL tested. In Europe I believe it is CE.
