AMD has announced 3 refreshed Ryzen CPUs. They offer slightly higher boost clocks at the same core count, TDP and recommended prices as the respective X versions they replace.

These new CPUs should be available on 7 July, and reviews will likely be out on the same day.

The Ryzen 5 3600XT now boosts to 4.5GHz for $249
The Ryzen 7 3800XT now boosts to 4.7GHz for $399
The Ryzen 9 3900XT now boosts to 4.7GHz for $499

This should help these CPUs performance in gaming and lightly threaded applications.

Only the 3600XT comes with an included CPU Cooler (Wraith Spire) with a 280mm AIO being recommended to extract the full performance from the 3800XT and 3900XT.

I'm curious for the real retail price differences as the 2% higher theoretical boost clock is not really that enticing. If it had a higher base clock, it would have been more interesting but I'd not spend more than a few dollars on these over their original SKUs. Especially when you lose the cooler on the more expensive models.

While the XT SKUs may launch at those prices, I think we should see $30-$50 reductions within the first few months.

The small boost speed increases alone won't be worth paying much more than $10-$20 for. However, I have heard rumors that these XT versions may also include a higher speed Infinity Fabric, and that would increase performance further if paired with faster RAM. The number I've heard is 2000MHz, and that would allow for DDR4-4000.

I'm also hoping that the non-XT parts see a price drop. A Ryzen 7 3700X at $250 would be a great buy.
