400w DC-ATX power supply from Taobao

Hi!

I was browsing around on taobao.com (Chinese eBay?) and I came across this:

It is qualified at 400w, peak at 450w, and it is the same size as the HDPLEX HiFi 250W DC-ATX.
I've done some research and I can say this guy is legit since he is pretty active in a Chinese modding forum(chiphell.com), and multiple people have purchased his DC- ATX and are all giving positive reviews.
The price is pretty low as well, at around $200usd, including a Dell 330PM111

He also made something called 'Rabbit head'

Which allows you to use only 4 wires to connect between the PSU and the motherboard.

The DC-ATX is out of my budget range for now but I'm curious about the Rabbit Head. It looks possible to use along other DC ATX units including the ones made by HD-PLEX. For $19 it's not bad for a custom IC wiring job.

Yeah, it makes cable management much easier, from what I see in the reviews.
You can use 8 wires connecting to the rabbit head, then extend them for sata/cpu/gpu. I think he is offering custom rabbit head as well, which he will cut the cables to length or add more cables according to your needs

Edit: and it supports any ATX power supplies (可适用所有的符合ATX规范的模组化电源)

So if I understand this correctly, the rabbit head can plug into any modular ATX PSU on one side and into any mainboard on the other. Maybe post this thread here, that might be very interesting to the people watching it.

Interesting product with the DC-DC solution splitting the 5V from the 12V on the plug. Low-profile Mini-Fit Jr. connectors too. Although his 24-pin + 8-pin seems very board-dependant, or I missed that Asus has made this arrangement standard practice. HDPlex, take notes please !
