You can flash 2.10 to A300.
The Key Error to Access tu UMAF is simple fix.
i dont youe Secure Boot btw

You enter UEFI and go to Security Tab and Secure Boot.
Now u see is enable and Boot Mode Standard

You set Secure Boot to Disabled
Secure Boot Mode to Custom
Boot Mode to Standard
And every Question you set yes.
A300 reboot :-)

A300 boot, you enter UEFI and Boot Mode is Disable and you can access UMAF.

For Crossflash i use Windows Tool and X300 1.60 and then i flash higher numbers.
A300 -> X300 1.60 -> X300 2.10
X300 2.10 -> disable TPM with UMAF -> X300 1.60 -> A300 3.60S

In the Windows tool you can set the Name in the ini
[ROM]
File=X3MSTX_1.80E

If you flash from X300 1.60 to A300 3.60S
you must rename the 3.60S from A to X if it not work.

Windows Flash Tool:
Problem is that the A300 doesn't boot anymore (soft brick) after changes in BIOS with Renoir or Cezanne APUs, thus disabling Secure Boot to boot UMAF is not an option with BIOS 2.00 or 2.10, gotta fix the Secure Boot signatures somehow to be able to boot.

You dont brick it.
You disable the Secure boot first.
After you change it from Standard to custom and then to Standard the A300 ask you reboot.
You say yes and the Secure Boot is Disable and you can use UMAF and Change Settings.

You only brick it if you safe it with F10.
But you dont need it.

I dont use secure boot, but i can use UMAF.
if you need secure boot, you can disable it, make your settings with UMAF and activate it?

Does this UMAF problem with 2.10 Bios, only affect a300 that are flashed to x300, or native X300 aswell?

Again, it is NOT possible to save any BIOS setting with Renoir or Cezanne. As soon as you change anything incl. Secure Boot it won't boot anymore, only after you disconnect the battery (even Clear CMOS jumper does not help). Thus disabling Secure Boot on an A300 with Renoir or Cezanne (like my 5600G) does not work. That's the problem.

It's on the X300, too. But there you would just need UMAF to disable SoC/Uncore OC mode anyway (i.e. disabling Secure Boot works on the X300). But the issues regarding Curve Optimizer and Boost Overdrive exist on the X300 with P2.00 and P2.10 as well, thus I stick to my recommendation to use P1.90 for the time being.

And with 1.90 the x300 wont get bricked with UMAF, right?

Hi everyone, I own an A300 with a 2200g and i've been a complete idiot : I flashed bios 3.71A without checking compatibility and now i can't boot.
No display, no light, no usb; nothing but a spinning fan. Tried clearcmos with no effect.

Can someone confirm that 3.71A is not compatible with 2200g and my deskmini is only softbricked ?
Will another cpu be compatible with 3.71A bios ? Which one, 3200G ? Another one ?

Thanks in advance !

Which BIOS did you have in your A300 before flashing 3.71A? I'm not sure 3.71A is a BIOS for the A300 at all, it includes Pinnacle Ridge support, which is kinda weird.

Before flashing bios I had ssd issues so I tested many BIOSes. I think the last I tried was 3.60U
Bought new ssd, installed it. A300 didn't boot with ssd installed so I thought flashing most up-to-date BIOS was a good idea.

I can confirm 3.71A is compatible with A300 (see this french post)

I'm not sure, it is possible that 3.71A - which I don't see on the official ASRock A300 BIOS page, there 3.70B is the latest BIOS - is one of the BIOS versions, that don't support going from newer AGESA with Renoir support back to a BIOS without it. There have been reports of bricks doing that. If that happens, you better have a CH341A flasher to resurrect your A300.

I think your are right and that might be the reason why I can't boot. I've ordered a CH341A a few hours ago and will try to resurrect the A300.
This will be a big premiere for me 😅
Two questions about that :
- is that safe to do from a windows 11 or is linux safer ?
- what would be the the safest bios to flash ?

I'm not sure, I flashed using WIndows XP :D because the drivers caused a BSOD with Windows 8.1 years ago when I tried first. It's up to you if you try Windows or Linux.
From what I've seen the only newer code in 3.71A is for Picasso, so I'd recommend to use 3.60S for the time being, if you don't want to try some X300 BIOS.
3.70B (the latest official BIOS on ASRock's site) contains older AGESA than 3.60S, despite being newer.

Hi,
Quick update, I managed to resurrect my A300 with a CH341A which im quite proud of. Big step for me :)

I wrote 3.60S on eeprom but the A300 won't boot if ssd was installed.
No problem with 3.70B though so I kept it.

Thank you Nick for your advices, really appreciated !

That's weird, I never had a problem with 3.60S on my A300. Do you use SATA or m.2 SSD?
