CPU Hunting for X570 or B550 board that fully supports ECC!

It looks to me like that board simply doesn't support ECC. The specs on the ASUS web site specifically say the supported memory is non-ECC RAM. There's another thread here confirming this: https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/does-asus-rog-strix-x570-i-gaming-supports-ecc-memory.14514/ I...

Log Zenzone C1 – A MATX case at the size of SFF

That's a very interesting design. Thanks for sharing. Having the back panel at the bottom allows for some neat external cable management: no ugly wires hanging down the back of the case.

Memory Help please, with memory timings for VLP-RAM (ADATA PC DDR4 2666MHz)

I closed all other apps before I did the tests. 44Gb/s sounds reasonable, given that your memory is at 3233MHz and mine is at 2666MHz. I wonder why there is such a big difference in read speed on your system between membench and Aida64, whereas on my system they are quite close.

Memory Help please, with memory timings for VLP-RAM (ADATA PC DDR4 2666MHz)

Hmm. I'm using 2x16Gb (2666MHz CL19, the v-color ones mentioned earlier in this thread). These are dual-rank; I wonder if that has anything to do it. What do you get for read speed/write speed if you use the default settings (no overclocking)? We could also try the Cache and Memory benchmark in...

Memory Help please, with memory timings for VLP-RAM (ADATA PC DDR4 2666MHz)

I think something's not working quite right on your system because my system benchmarks faster using 2666MHz memory (with same CPU). I get read/write of 37/39 and a time of 171. One possibility is that there are ECC errors that are being corrected: check in Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System...

Memory Help please, with memory timings for VLP-RAM (ADATA PC DDR4 2666MHz)

Confusingly, the DRAM frequency will be reported as half the memory speed. If you want to try running at 3200MHz, you need to set the memory speed explicitly to 3200MHz: I think on your motherboard, it's the "System Memory Multiplier" setting that does this. FCLK is often called Infinity Fabric...

Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

These would be the most important memory timings: tCL, tRCDWR, tRCDRD, tRP, tRAS, tRC. (Not sure about relative order of tRCDRD and tRCDWR - I see them in different orders - but they're the same in this case.)

You can use Thaiphoon Burner to find out more about what you've got.

Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

CPU is Ryzen 5600X. Motherboard is Asrock B550M Steel Legend. Just upgraded the BIOS to one using AGESA Combo-AM4 V2 1.1.0.0 patch D. I found the motherboard would sometimes recognize only 2 of the 4 sticks with Auto settings. Manually reducing the speed seems to fix things (currently testing...

Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

I spoke too soon. When testing with Prime95, I got several corrected memory errors in Windows (in the the Event Log). This is without any manual BIOS adjustments. HWINFO showed them as CPU cache L3 errors, which I don't think I have ever seen before. The memory address was different for each...

Memory Very low profile DDR4 ram

I had a good experience with this seller too. Bought 4 sticks on the 24th and sent to basetao. Arrived today in Thailand. I also lucked out and got DW9FL dies. Thanks to everybody for all the pointers. I plan to use these in ECC mode. I verified that they work out of the box in ECC mode on an...

Advice K39 Case-Mod Fan Bracket Cooling Kit mounted in PCI Slot for case exhaust fan(s)?

As it happens, I built this exact combo a couple of days ago. What I did was: shift the fan over by a few mm to avoid hitting the back of rear panel wifi make sure that the fan clip was between the sticks of VLP RAM very slightly bent the pipes on the cooler so that heatsink was exactly...

    Motherboard NH-C14S and Z490 Mini-ITX board compatibility

I have this combination (in an NCASE M1). I have it oriented with the bend on the heat pipe on the side with the back IO panel.

    Hi From ZS Cases

Looking at your range again, I think the model that is most interesting to me is the ZS-A4DC V2. I currently have a build with an APU and 10Gb ethernet card in a K39. The PSU is an FSP FX500G. When used in the K39, the PSU intakes air from inside the case: this causes the PSU fan to come on...

I can‘t find that model. Did you mean SC8010KH12H-P?

    Hi From ZS Cases

I have admired the ZS cases on Taobao. Nice to see you here. The ZS-A4M looked really interesting to me, but I am not sure if I can live with the limitation to 8010 case fans. Are there any quiet, high-quality 8010 case fans?

Advice K39 Case-Mod Fan Bracket Cooling Kit mounted in PCI Slot for case exhaust fan(s)?

I have a system with some similarities to yours: - K39 case - Ryzen 5 4650G Pro - Gigabyte B550I Aorus Pro AX For the CPU cooler, I have the ID-Cooling IS-47K with the stock fan swapped out for a Noctua one, and my power supply is an FSP FX500G. I have one of the expansion slots filled with a...

Advice K39 Case-Mod Fan Bracket Cooling Kit mounted in PCI Slot for case exhaust fan(s)?

There are two standoffs designed for mounting the riser cable for the graphics card. I think these may be what you are referring to.

Advice K39 Case-Mod Fan Bracket Cooling Kit mounted in PCI Slot for case exhaust fan(s)?

I also found a single slot version for 80x15 fans. But I wonder how much it will help with extracting CPU heat? There's very little space for airflow from the CPU side to the GPU side. My power supply is an FSP FX 500G, which has a fan that takes air from inside the case. The fan only turns on...

Advice K39 Case-Mod Fan Bracket Cooling Kit mounted in PCI Slot for case exhaust fan(s)?

That's an interesting idea. I've got an APU in a K39, and I find the lack of case fans is a problem for sustained high loads. I'm using 1 slot for a 10Gb ethernet card, so I don't think this idea will work for me (will it?). I also tried this case with a graphics card, and found some extra noise...
