    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Hadn't noticed it the first time around, but same as you on OS X... 16 cores, 16 threads. It does change the 3.39 when I overclock, so I assume it is detecting the important stuff.

    Motherboard ASRock X370 Gaming-ITX/ac and AB350 Gaming-ITX/ac

Great review! I've got the b350 and it came with two wifi antennas. That prompted me to check out the hardware and I do indeed have the Intel AC 3168. The review seems to imply that only the x370 has dual-band wireless, but according to Intel the AC 3168 is also dual band...

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Yeah, I edited the 'About this Mac' info and changed the picture to match my case. To change system logo, go to /Applications/Utilities/System Information -> Show Package Contents -> Contents/Resources and then replace SystemLogo.tiff (can replace it with SystemLogo.jpg/png, as long as you...

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

I ran Cinebench on Windows 10 and OS X. I got almost the exact same value (1669 vs 1668 or something) for the CPU, but also got a low GPU value running OS X. It was around 100 fps on Windows 10 and 50 fps on OS X. No idea if that is an issue with actual performance or Cinebench or Hackintosh...

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

It's definitely possible to get the m.2 SSD working on a Hackintosh. Head over to tonyxmac86 and there are a few long threads. But it looked like a huge PITA compared to SATA or PCIe SSDs and I wanted to keep my operating systems on separate hard drives anyway... so I didn't bother. I've...

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Hi All, Just wanted to give you a brief walkthrough of my installation of OS X Sierra (10.12.6) on my brand new Mini ITX build. I’m just putting this in my personal build thread, but if it’s useful to put this info somewhere else, let me know. Here’s my hardware...

    And there was much rejoicing!

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Quite honestly I thought it would be tougher as well, but there's a great wealth and depth of resources out there. I didn't have to write much code at all. There are definitely update issues.. once I get everything running on 12.6, I won't update until a couple months after 13.x is out and...

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Once my other hard drive arrives and I get a stable boot with everything working, I'll post a walkthrough. I mostly used resources/tutorials on InsanelyMac and AMD-OSX. Here's a good starting point: https://forum.amd-osx.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1693

Won't be fully functional until I get my second internal SSD and still have to work out a few kinks (*cough* nVidia driver *cough*) but got it up and running within an hour! Not bad!

Got the build up and running in 45 minutes! Will upload pics after I add a second SSD later this week and try to install OS X.

For sure, if I get it working I'll do a walkthrough for Mini ITX AM4 Hackintosh. Looks like the USPS sent my CPU to the wrong place so it's delayed a couple days -.- I also didn't buy the 2nd SSD yet and there are often issues with installing OS X on an NVME... but let's see.

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Thanks! PSU already arrived.. I wanted the 120mm size fan on a SFF PSU for the extra cooling power. Will let you know what sort of temps I hit when I build it over the weekend. I've installed OS X on a number of Windows machines before... this will be the first time I try it on an AMD. If...

    Ryzen 7 Hackintosh

Hi All, I found this forum while doing research on the several mini ITX AM4 motherboards. I've been using a MacBook Pro for my audio recording and various computing needs over the past few years, but it just doesn't have the cpu/core strength for Pro Tools at this point. So I've decided to...
