Sense wires are a feature of the cable/adapter. It's straightforward do manufacture only the 600W 'option' and that is what you will find on both Corsair's offerings: two sense pins connected to GND. PSU has no idea about it. "Requires" is a lawyer talk.

Putting aside the variance in standoff lengths and m.2 connector heights (NGFF tends to be around 3.2mm I think) what is the maximum height of m2 heatsink on the back of the motherboard? Is it going to be limited to naked/thin metal sticker or is there a space for ~~5mm or more?
