For those of you with a Gigabyte X570i, I can't recommend getting a Scythe Big Shuriken 3. Mine just arrived today and won't fit in the horizontal position, unlike an NH-L12S. Just a heads up. ;( (The VRM heatsink on this thing is stupidly huge, honestly.)

The standard perforated ones. As far as I'm concerned, they all work as advertised already. People are just confused because the CPU operates a little backwards compared to others (high idle voltages by design, decreases with load etc).

One last thing about thermals with this case and a 3700X: there are benches and games I can run long enough that the CPU will get up to 90C. With the same games and the side panels off, it peaks at around 65C, which is crazy. The NH-L12S in the sideways orientation also doesn't line up with the...

Mid-80s on heavy mixed loads (like gaming benchmarks). Typical loads are closer to mid-70s.

Dropped about 5-10C, so idling now in the high 40s, low 50s.

Update on this: reseated my heatsink in that orientation. It's important! Immediately saw a fair thermal difference, as resting against the I/O likely lifted it up from the CPU a little as well.

I've fit the non-Ti version of this card (same size) in my Steck easily.

Do you have exact dimensions on these screws? I'm interested in trying this.

Hmm, might have a point there, thanks. The fan being that close to the panel will likely create high air turbulence and noise. NH-L12S seems like a good choice too.
