    AMD X570 ITX Motherboards

Honestly... I just went with a corsair commander pro set up for my liquid cooling set up on the Gigabyte board. Because it allows me to use a temp sensor in the loop (coolant temp) and use that to control the fans, which is a much better setup in my opinion. Bonus points because it gave me a...

    PCI-E Bifurcation

Sorry we were talking about in the context of x570 itx boards. See the post I quoted.

@KSliger Any chance of a new revision where 140s would fit? Your setup at quake con in the sm550 looked so good I'm considering it for a bifurcation setup but I'd need the sm560. Also can I email you about that case we discussed at quake con?

Double checking the SM560 (bifurcation version) doesn't support 140mm fans in the bottom? is this because they don't fit or is it just the mounting holes?

    PCI-E Bifurcation

Asrock supports 8x/8x Gigabyte supports 8x/8x and 4x/4x/4x/4x Asus seems to refuse to acknowledge that bifurcation exists outside of their M.2 expansion card on their X299/X399 platforms. Msi hasn't launched a X chipset itx board that I know of, so they haven't historically supported it either.

    PCI-E Bifurcation

What do you mean? It's in the manual and the bios for the gigabyte x570 itx board. I tested it on my board and it works.

Honestly the Asrock board just looks underwhelming... granted thunderbolt on AMD, on an ITX board is amazing... but I don't know if I need it... and to lose the second M.2... and to have weird mounting.... I'm just too hesitant to buy it, so I went with the gigabyte board. I will be looking out...

Getting a little off topic, but here you go: Edit: If you do what I did, make sure you build a box otherwise shavings will go EVERYWHERE, I have a front piece that I slide in place for messy jobs, but honestly the shop vac/dust boot helps a ton, makes most jobs have zero clean up. You just...

    PCI-E Bifurcation

C_Payne makes a riser for it. Before x570 the only board(s) I knew of that supported it was Asrock's x99/x299.

I also live in an apartment, but I have a shop vac with a dust boot, have it in my "work room", and don't run it after 10pm. So far no complaints. I built a little setup under a table in the corner of the room, the base machine isn't too big.

The big thing for me is I think I'll just CNC a new heatsink top, which will have to be aluminum, and my CNC (shapeoko 3) is still relatively new to me and while I've test cut some metal on it, I haven't exactly perfected cutting metal. That and I'm swamped preparing for Quake con (less than a...

I don't have a 3d printer, but I have a CNC machine, after quake con I plan on working on either making an adapter or CNC-ing a new Heatsink top. I don't expect to have that done for at least a month though....

Btw you could just run a linux host and then Windows 7 in a VM with GPU passthru. Then it doesn't matter what hardware is in the host because the host will have the appropriate tools/drivers to run it.

As in cases in time for QuakeCon? or you are going to QuakeCon? because if you are there I'd love to meet up with you.
