    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    Unfortunately, I don't think I have screenshots of the temps. I do recall idle just being way too hot (70C?) but again, I didn't record them. I will do a whole post on thermal temps soon. The cooling solution is coming up soon. ;) Yes. ;)

    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    Happy to be back! I intend to see this build through to the end. :) More Updates! Aright, lets deal with some GPU shenanigans. The GPU is misaligned due to the way this 3D printed bracket was designed. Noting the gap between the frame and the IO bracket on the bottom left. Also note...

    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    Alright, so these updates should have been posted back in April/May, I had taken pictures during the process but didn't make time to post online, then life got busy. :( Time to catch up: UPDATE #6! Here is a shot showing the plate mounted on top: How the hell am I going to fit all of the...

    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    I am alive! I apologize for such a long delay! Life got busy and then I moved to a new residence. Holy sh!t I have way too much stuff. I DO have updates for you! First let me respond to a few of you. :) You took the words out of my brain man, I wish GPU's had normal screw locations much like a...

    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    Both are correct, it's secured via the I/O at the base. It's actually quite secure, I don't feel it's necessary to secure it further. I can tilt the machine in any direction and it's all secure in there. :) But, I might secure it anyway just to be thorough... we'll see. Sorry for lack of...

    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    Thank you all! It's encouraging that folks are interested in the small details. I personally love seeing every detail of how a build is completed, understanding the why and how has always been fascinating to me. As for my Pops, he's always building crazy cool stuff. Maybe I'll get some more...

    The TrashCan - 3D Printed

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE #5! I called up Pops and said, "Hey, I have to figure out how to mount this piece of trash in a trashcan, can you help?" XD Spent the whole afternoon with him today!! This is going to be a long update with LOTS of pictures and a few videos! Discussing ideas on the back...
    The TrashCan - 3D Printed
    Thank you!! I have never been so obsessed with a project, this is all I am doing in my spare time at this point. XD One of my biggest concerns is heat from the 1700... once I've mounted the HDPlex I'll be doing lots of stress testing. I have thought about this, the Mobo has two RGB headers so...
    The TrashCan - 3D Printed
    That is definitely my favorite part of the case, no ugly ports, just sleekness all around. I will definitely sand, polish/or paint once I'm done with the modifications. :D I am debating on LED's. I'm not a huge fan of LED's to be honest. BUT I will try it out and show ya'll! You both are...
    The TrashCan - 3D Printed
    Ahaha, I mean honestly it'd be pretty cool to build a computer using a mini-keg as the case. Sounds like your next project. ;) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ UPDATE #3! Alright, I gotta make sure this thing posts... But I at the time of this photo I was waiting for Cryorig to ship me a free AM4 mounting kit so...
    Great idea! However, the white is kind of growing on me. I may just leave it. :) Ahahaha, mini-keg would be a great name. Newcastle looks quite appetizing right now. I found out that he used a Creality CR 10S printer: https://3dprinting.com/pricewatch/3d-printer/creality-cr-10-s/ I should...
    The TrashCan - 3D Printed
    I totally agree! I hope to see more 3D printed cases around here, I'm considering picking up a printer for myself... I definitely would have loved to have the case in a dark cherry red, but hey.. for $99, I'll take it. XD No tolerance issues, thankfully. I've got some close-ups coming shortly...
    The TrashCan - 3D Printed
    Oh snap! I haven't thought of it like that until now! It does look like a soda can... Airflow is bottom to top: Cold air pulled from the bottom through vents in the base, heat will be exhausted with a fan at the top of the case (pulling air out). ~~~~~~~~~~~ More pics and an unfortunate...
    The TrashCan - 3D Printed
    Hey SFF Forums! This is my first post here, I've been a LONG time lurker and decided it's time to build something new. I tend to get the build-itch once a year and part-out an old system to make room for a new one. Two years ago I built an NCase M1 (V3) which was friggin sweet, however, it...
