How far does the heatsink stick out past the frame? I was trying to find out if milling the existing aluminum bezel would allow for enough clearance to fit it, and if using the non-stock fan setup would allow for everything to fit after milling (in case the stock plastic doesn't fit w/ milling)...
is this accurate to sum things up?
1 gentle typhoon + 2x 50mm scythe
kyronaut paste
is the best noise + performance combination? can you provide pictures of the orientation and setup? does it require the 3d bezel or can it work with the stock aluminum faceplate?
Based on your initial pics, the L9i is oriented in a sub-optimal way. You want the fin gaps to be parallel with your ram; if you rotated the L9i by 90 degrees I bet you'd get better cpu temps
From your other thread, do you know how the base clocked (~1600mhz) 1080ti mini performs compared to a regular 1080 mini? Any benchmarks to compare to, ambient temps, case orientation, etc?
Are you still standing by the NH-L9 as the best cooler for this case, so far? I could've sworn there were a few other contenders if we consider non stock fans
Are you undervolting the 1080ti as well? This was kind of my plan as well, but I've been sitting on my case because I couldn't figure out what CPU cooling I wanted as well as if the stock bezel can be milled out to fit the 1080ti mini
The ones I was reading are comparable are the LP53 and Titan TTC25 or something like that? Unconfirmed though, so I've held off on buying. I also thought I remembered Josh saying he had a new favorite, but I couldn't find it again. I already have an NHL9i and I'm not really super impressed by...
