Thanks! Hopefully you get the kind of results you're looking for :)

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

Yep, it's a minus sign! Oh man, I completely blanched on the existence of cables. That's a good thing to note, thanks. And ha! That's what she said, indeed. Length isn't everything! It's how you use what you've got ;) Thanks for the clarification! If I may bother you a bit more.. I'm confused...

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

From what I understand, you need both an AC-DC and a DC-DC supply to power your build. Conventional PSUs are basically both combined into one chassis.

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

Thanks! I'm also trying to figure out if investing in a higher wattage PSU early on to open up options for upgrades in the future would be better than getting a smaller PSU to fit my build and upgrade the PSU along with the other components - larger investment now to save in the future, or...

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

Going back to this! I've got some specs on hand for the different parts, and I'm trying to figure out the optimal orientation for running the HDPlex 400w AC-DC and 400w DC-ATX for a brickless build. I'm hoping a lower overall power consumption on a higher capacity PSU will reduce the general...

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

Ooh.. the 1060 I have has its specs being 173mm. I'll have to visit home sometime to actually measure it myself, as I've also no clue how tall it is, but it looks like removing the shroud might be needed in the future... Or just selling the card and getting one more truly ITX in size. Hmmm...

    Projekt: Xephyr Driftr (Brickless S4M)

After many scrapped concepts, much deliberation, and lots of editing... I think I've finally settled on a base design I like. It's got four core letters -- W, W, X, and D -- and they all come together to form a part of each other. I'll play around with it a little more to flesh out the design...

Power Supply HDPlex 400W AC-DC Adapter

Theoretically, would both the HDPlex 400W DC-DC and 400W AC-DC fit inside the S4M for a brickless build? I'm afraid I can't quite visualize the setup to know for sure. Asking for.. science! Yes. Science.

    S4M Backpack

One day! If nothing else, I may settle for one of the.. Tanuks? And get a bigger monitor and hard-case protection :) Right? It's fantastic to carry, and sleek as heck! The waterproof feature is nice too, especially in Seattle.

    S4M Backpack

Nice bag! For anyone still looking for a bag: I don't have the S4M yet, but I've got a Peak Design 30L Everyday Backpack I intend to use whenever I finish the planning stages and get around to ordering the parts. It's a gorgeous bag, waterproof, and has a lot of compartments for me to safely...

    Fans for the S4M?

I've no clue! I'm super new to PC building - this build with the S4M will be my very first - and I've only recently begun educating myself more on PC components. I plan to upgrade my CPU and GPU in the future (Ryzen 7, 1080 [ti?]), and from what I've seen they'll draw more power and generate...

    Fans for the S4M?

Alright, thanks! Just wanted to confirm as I don't think I've seen any builds yet running GPU fans and SSDs - or at least, any pictures that showed it was possible? It's always either been one or the other.

    Fans for the S4M?

Oh darn, that detail completely slipped past me! Thanks for pointing it out. I /think/ I have a rough grasp of what you're saying, but I'm not totally confident. Could I probe you to elaborate? From what I'm gathering: 1x GPU 2x SSD 2x 92mm fans 2x Sky Bracket Duo Visualization top-down...

    Fans for the S4M?

Is it possible for the Sky Bracket Duo to hold both SSDs and fans, or is it one or the other? Could I put two SSDs on top and two fans on the bottom to give more cooling to the GPU? ---though I just realized the drives would block the fans from pulling air. Derp. I feel so silly omg. But a...

    Fans for the S4M?

Thanks for all the info, AdventSign! And to you too, Josh, for the video - I'll go through it when I get off work! Edit: I got too excited and ended up sneaking a view at work, haha. I think I'm gonna go with the combo for the CPU fans! The noise won't be too noticeable with headphones, and the...
