Production Lazer3D HT5 - Low Profile APU Case

The fan on the L12S pushes almost double the amount of air as that on L9x65, so yeah it may be powerful enough. I tried using the L9x65 fan as exhaust, and flipping the fan around made it louder, almost as if it was vibrating. I removed the fan, still running, and could feel the vibration in my...

There's no room for fans near the PSU. Assuming you're facing the front side of the case, the PSU is on the left, followed by the motherboard in the middle, and then the two exhaust fans on the right. The PSU's PCB partially covers the grill on the left, although I've mounted it with about 3-4...

Production Lazer3D HT5 - Low Profile APU Case

I'm using the L9x65, which as opposed to the L9a/L12S, draws in air from the outside. After adjusting the fan temp curve, I can say it is near silent from a meter apart, and I can hear the fan up close, starting from about 10cm. I decided against the L12S because I was afraid that its larger...

Good point. The Mean-Well is only an AC-DC converter, there's going to be an DC-ATX converter on the MB. I used the PicoPSU but not sure on its input ripple tolerance, or if these DC-ATX supplies can filter it out.

While searching for a Mean Well PSU I found the UHP-200 series, which would actually be a good choice for the HT5 case. I didn't order it because the lead time would've been 3-6 weeks since it's a new product. Its dimensions are smaller (194 x 55 x 26, LxWxH) than TFX, can handle 200W without a...

Understood. Controlling fan speed in the OS itself is a good idea, will look into that. Maybe it is also possible to store profiles for different usage scenarios, certainly worth a try. Thanks!

Thanks for your prompt replies and suggestions! I finished installing the OS yesterday. I must say I'm completely satisfied with the thermal performance. I see the frequency varies between 1.6 and 4.2 GHz depending on the load, and the CPU is able to sustain its boost clock (around 4.2 GHz)...

Hey guys, I finished a build with the HT5 just yesterday, would appreciate some advice to bring the CPU temps down a bit if possible. Not sure if this is just an issue with the thermal paste/cooler, or do I need to take drastic steps? Here's the hardware config: CPU: Ryzen 5 3400G Motherboard...

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

Hello there! fellow newbie here, I followed the guide and am building my own SFF. Would appreciate if someone with more experience could clarify the 4/8 pin ATX confusion. Here's the component list: CPU: Ryzen 5 3400G Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B450 I SSD: WD Black Cooler: Noctua L9x65 Case...
