Update: the entire edge of the C7G heat sink that faces the back I/o panel actually slightly rests on the VRM heat sink....I think properly mounting this cooler to this motherboard will require cutting a little notch out of the tip of every fin on the C7G to recess around the VRM heat sink.

A heads up for anyone thinking of building their Sentry with an Asus Strix x570-I motherboard and a Cryorig C7G cooler. The Cryorig backplate interferes with multiple components on the underside of the board. You will need to cut the Intel specific mounting tabs off the backplate to get it to fit.

Has anyone tried the new ROG Strix X570-I motherboard with any of the Cryorig C7 coolers? One of the reviews on Newegg states that the heat sinks on the board interfere with a Cryorig C7 Cu making it impossible to mount correctly. PC Part Picker states no compatibility issues between these...

Has anyone been able to identify any high performance RAM kits other than Corsair Vengeance LPX that will fit under the 2.5 inch drive mount? It looks to me like all G.Skill and HyperX sticks are too tall. I would love the Thunderbolt connectivity on the ASRock x570 ITX board, but currently...

Is the C7G with the Noctua fan still under 47mm??

It appears that the Cryorig C7G will come with fan clips to allow for swapping out a better, quieter fan. However, the Cryorig website does not currently list any detailed dimensions of the heatsink beyond the 47mm total height with stock fan. Does anyone have any experience with this yet if...

I wonder what some options would be to reduce the noise of having the C7 fan blades so close to the Sentry’s case perforations. Maybe flipping the fan over so it pulls air through the heat sink and exhausts it out the side of the case?

Sadly the LP53 appears to be an Intel socket exclusive cooler as well.

I have been thinking of the duct option with the Noctua L9a. I did see Solo’s recommendation of the Silverstone AR11 and another suggestion of the Dynatron passive heat sink, but they appear to be Intel socket only.

Hey everyone, I backed the Sentry 2.0 campaign and have spent the last few days reading through this whole thread. Very excited to build in this case! I would like to base the build around an 8 core Ryzen 3000 series when those come out later this year. Just curious what CPU cooler other...
