Hello again. I've finished my visual prototype of my case, and I personally think the front isn't great, but the side panels look pretty good.
Not much else changed, the Rad bracket does still have widened mounting holes for more room. The two side panels, and the top panel are all connected...
These are really useful for basing my design off of, but some of these cases are fairly wide in comparison. My case dimensions are, without panel thickness (just internal space) 341mm length* 287mm height* 157mm width.
The part about the ACAT X2 is that, it's a mod for what is traditionally itx. The ytc case doesn't appear to have much clear info on it. I also designed my case specifically so that airflow might not suck and maybe to make room for a small res/pump combo.
Thanks, I forgot to include some more context. It's specifically designed for mATX, and SFX-L support includes SFX by mounting hole spacing. The ACAT X2 does support mATX, but it's from Taobao, and it costs a small fortune with shipping.
I have found an extremely space efficient mATX layout supporting many mainstream components. My goals were to have:
To have absolutely, the smallest, most reasonable fully mATX compatible case possible.
Support for a 240mm AIO.
Mainstream PSU support, it being SFX and SFX-L.
A simple build...
With less responses and poll engagement, I've figured out that the community, can't really force a design on me. As much as I liked that 17.5L case, it was probably impossible looking back. So, I have come upon a design that has worked the best so far. A 15.5L case with front mounted SFX-L PSU...
Hello again,
I have had an epiphany in the form of a mATX case supporting a 240mm AIO/Rad mounted in front of the motherboard. My problem: the sides of the radiator protruding out past the fins and fans overlap with a front mount SFX PSU, which is the only spot where it'll fit. I have a 30mm gap...
Back at it again, but this time, I figured out how to make my larger cases substantially smaller, without too much compromise. So now here are those ideas with a slight redux.
16.6L tower has been eliminated as a viable option. All cases support:
SFX-L PSUs up to 125mm long.
mATX and ITX.
Liquid...
