    Power draw

Hi all. i am planning a new build in the next couple of months and I am wondering if I can continue to use my hdplex 400 or if I need to sell and get something to cover power usage. I know there are supply calculators but I don’t believe them to be accurate for actual power draw. potential...

Cooling a Dell 330W ac adapter

Found out its ground on the outside, live just inside the barrel and the center pin is signal. That's for the brick to relay with the laptop so not needed.

Cooling a Dell 330W ac adapter

Any idea what the 3 wires coming from the dell brick are? Obviously live and ground.. isn't the other wire a signal wire? How would this be wired for the hdplex? Any help appreciated.

Cooling a Dell 330W ac adapter

@Josh | NFC well I did some experimenting after I just purchased a new dell brick.. when inserting and moving the cable around the hdplex light goes on and off.. After a bit of wriggling it turns out it's the DC Jack that's broken. So you was correct. Now to order some new parts and make a...

Dell ac dc bricks in parallel

Came across this and wondered if this seems like a sensible solution to obtaining enough wattage with out stressing a single brick too far for a HDplex 400w.

Cooling a Dell 330W ac adapter

Yes this is true. I can return it if they are covered under warranty? I will look into a g-unique. I have heard of it in one of Josh's videos recently.

Cooling a Dell 330W ac adapter

As ots all unplugged I will try it again tonight.. though surely if it was tripped the blue illumination wouldn't be on the barrel connector still? Why would the hdplex die.. it's a 400w model and its only a few months old..
