Has anyone tested CPU temp difference between the block that comes with the LT240 vs. a standalone block from EK or whatever?

Is it possible to disassemble the LT240 pump and install it on the DC-LT 40, I'm guessing that's the same 2600 pump? Also is there any way to cover the pump once it's installed on the DC-LT 40? Looking at this image it shows that the lower part is exposed. I'm worried about possible noise and...

I've actually found a local listing for a kit of 2 (32gb) for around the same price. Probably shouldn't have linked that eBay listing. I'm not asking about the price, I'm interested in their OC potential.
