    Maybe a daft question.......

No I'm not interested in overclocking these days......chances are I will run memtest at some point anyway just to be sure.

    Maybe a daft question.......

If you have confirmed that your DDR4 memory is all okay by running memtest for days in the past, and then decide at a later time to upgrade the cpu only (from a dual core Celeron to a i7 6700 in my case)......do you still need to run memtest with the new cpu to confirm all is still okay?

Whats the easiest way to change cpu heatsink??

It was only a small blob/pea sized amount in the middle of the cpu, then pressed down and gave it a little twist as per Noctua's instructions to spread the paste.

Whats the easiest way to change cpu heatsink??

Hi folks, Might be a silly question, but when I was building the HDPlex H1.S case, I put the cpu heatsink brackets on the wrong side of the block and only noticed when trying to secure the top half of the cpu block over the heat pipes.....so I needed to remove the cpu heatsink which needed a...

    M.2 SSD cooling?

That Kyro2 heatsink would defo NOT fit under the majority of motherboards as there is only 2-3mm of space below the SSD itself....unless you have a case that the motherboard tray has a big cut out like my other case, Thermaltake core V1....which is an amazing case for its ease of accessing as...

    M.2 SSD cooling?

Hi there, this is the seller I have been in touch with about the custom size blocks.....obviously I don't have them yet but when I do, I will update this thread accordingly as to wether they are any good or not. http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/jd_engineering_supplies Looking at the specs of that...

    M.2 SSD cooling?

I didn't want to use adhesive in case the SSD ever needs to be used in another case.....which wouldn't have the bath tub part. As for the stack moving about....it only slides about at the start when trying to align it properly (using a toothpick to move it) under the controller chip, once...

    M.2 SSD cooling?

Just to update what I ended up doing here......with the Samsung 950 Pro installed, the controller chip sits right above the bath tub area of the HDPlex case, as does 1 of the Nand chips too, the 2nd Nand chip sits above the normal smaller gap.....so 2 different heights needed to cool the...

    M.2 SSD cooling?

Aye I saw that cooler, but not sure how much space there is under the motherboard with the case I'm waiting on.....the M.2 slot is located on the underneath side of the board, so will just need to wait until the case arrives to see what clearance there is.

    M.2 SSD cooling?

I have the Samsung 950 Pro (on its way to me) not the 960 version, and I don't think that one had a thermal sticker....will keep searching to find that out though. Also, based on the design of the hdplex h1.s case, the base has the 'bath tub' section under the motherboard and I reckon the M.2...

    M.2 SSD cooling?

Would the manufacturer sticker need to be removed from the SSD for any kind of heatsink to work?

    M.2 SSD cooling?

I have searched on there and posted the same question too a few days ago but no reply yet......thats not as busy a forum as here though.

    M.2 SSD cooling?

As title, just wondering if anyone has put any kind of aftermarket cooling solution on their M.2 SSD's (Sata or NVME versions)? I have just bought the HDPLEX H1.S case and will be home to: Gigabyte Z170N Gaming 5 motherboard 2x8gb of crucial ddr4 2400Mhz ram Samsung 950pro NVME ssd (256gb) CPU...

Power Supply Possibly a really stupid question about laptop PSU...

Hi again folks, I just checked that my new HP brick works and thankfully it does, tested it on a older HP laptop that still going strong.....I was curious as to how much power draw the laptop took, so plugged it into a kilowatt meter and tested the original laptop brick which was drawing over...

Power Supply HDPLEX 160W DC-ATX direct plug

One thing I should mention about the above build.....that was using a normal PSU, a BeQuiet 500w pure power 10 to be exact.....I was mearly referencing the power consumption of the build....just in case people thought I was using the HDPlex DC-ATX unit.
