Exactly why I'm buying the linkup. I've had bios updates reset to factory one too many times in my life to not consider it an unacceptable risk. If onboard graphics were still a thing, no big deal. Probably will still set it to gen 3 for compatibility, but knowing I'll have some sort of video if...

That was the plan ... as long as spacing between the d5 top - gpu block - and rad work out. Also makes bottom rad out to cpu block in much easier.

Yup, once using the radiator as the traverse and once with actual tube. I'm waiting to see completed builds ... I'm sacrificing 140mm of rad to ensure the use of a D5 and I'm waiting to see if the extra complexity of this loop order is worth the effort.

I'm only planning on a single 140 rad with fan, and hopefully a 15mm or 25mm fan next to it to push air, at the bottom and still having difficulty finding a d5 res combo, or a d5 with top and a stand alone res, that'll fit ... seems like it's the spine spacing that's giving everybody issues. If...

Oh wow, I hadn't heard about this ... does the coating on the brass flake off inside?

Oh, for sure. The block is a chunk, so I'm prepared that not every 90 deg + fitting is going to work in the space between the gpu block and side panel using the 90 deg port block, but there should be a few without having to go with low profile koolance ... I personally have a lot of animosity...

I seemed to have missed it somewhere along the lines, and it had to have been discussed before, the only dimension so far that concerns me is spine to side panel. I've got plenty of vertical height (only using a single 140 rad) and space behind the gpu for a standard d5 pump + small tube rez but...

I'm honestly at the point where this case is going to sit in the corner while I wait for the smarter, braver, folks to do builds that I can copy. For various reasons, I'd really like a D5 with some sort of reservoir, but even using a single 140 on the bottom I still come up with either potential...

It was discussed a little bit ago ... like 20 pages so easy to have missed it ... that seems like double 45's will be needed there to route around the psu cable.

I've always gone with two, just cause that's what the manufacturer says and the pci-e standards say a single 8pin is rated to 150w. But technically, the armchair electrician in me has always wondered why video cards need multiple 6 or 8pins. If my thought process is correct, it should be "okay"...

I'm putting this computer together with the idea that my son will take it with him to college in two years, so we've gone heavy on the hardware. 3080FE and a 5900x (coming soon) and I'd at first planned to water cool it all like we have in his ghost s1. But lately he had a pump go out and he...

Ideas on which reservoir / pump combo? I have a 3080FE with the super short EKWB FE special edition waterblock (206mm) on the way. One of the things that drives me crazy with ITX watercooling is not having a decent sized reservoir. I know I could use an external res to do it, but a lot of...

I rewire my pumps when I have access to a 2A header. I'm not a huge fan of the quadro ... it just seems like extra stuff to me. Adjusting fan speed based on coolant temp is cool and all, but doing it by cpu temp has worked fine for me for years.

I'm super curious which ITX mobo has a pump header and temp sensor? That's going to be my new go to board if it exists. When I was searching last, the asus boards had a temp sensor, but no pump header. Just pwm fan headers. Couple other boards I've looked at have 2A pump headers, but no temp sensor.

I'm thinking of using the FLT 120 (just because I already have one) also but be very careful that it appears EKWB may have made an error on their technical drawing of the DDC version. It shows 120x105 but the product description page and the D5 version drawing both show 120x120. Mine definitely...
