    NCase M1 x299 build with an i9-7920x

As far as I know any thunderbolt card still requires a motherboard header and explicit support which this asrock board unfortunately does not have.

    NCase M1 x299 build with an i9-7920x

I'm actually using 2 of those in there right now, and they work really well! Routing around the sata power was much harder, since they're chained together.

    NCase M1 x299 build with an i9-7920x

Some updates! The PSU fan started off perfectly silent, but has become slightly more audible after the first couple of months. It's still very well balanced and the noise is a pleasant white noise. It doesn't help that the PSU fan is about 3 feet away from my left ear, as the tower sits on my...

    News ASRock Unveils the X299E-ITX/ac: Mini ITX + X299 + Quad-channel Memory

Very nice! I think if my fit wasn't as naturally close to the edge as it turned out, I'd be mounting the card further in and running cables out like you did as well. I wanted to use the 3rd slot originally but I could not figure out how to run the cable past my GPU. That being said, I'm now...

    News ASRock Unveils the X299E-ITX/ac: Mini ITX + X299 + Quad-channel Memory

I am using a Noctua cooler, so my space around the CPU is limited, and I went with this because it seems like an elegant all in one item with good cabling: http://www.bplus.com.tw/ExtenderBoard/R4%20Series.html ebay link It's very hard to take photos inside such a tiny case! Basically the...

    News ASRock Unveils the X299E-ITX/ac: Mini ITX + X299 + Quad-channel Memory

I added a PCI-e capture card via an m.2 > pcie bridge using the front m.2 slot - worked right away on boot with no additional configuration! Very happy. So, even if that front slot is wired through the chipset, it will still work as a pcie expansion.

    News ASRock Unveils the X299E-ITX/ac: Mini ITX + X299 + Quad-channel Memory

This is great to learn - I've been looking for some documentation for how the m.2 slots are wired up - can you point me to the source of that info?

    NCase M1 x299 build with an i9-7920x

Thanks! With the PSU, I have not had any issues so far, have not heard the fan either. I think the difference between 80 and 92mm is pretty substantial. I definitely took a chance on it because there weren't any real reviews of it at time of purchase.

    NCase M1 x299 build with an i9-7920x

With the announcement of ASRock's x299 Mini-itx board, I decided if I could go small and powerful in my upgrade this year. My general goal was to have a reasonable video processing workstation in a form factor that can travel in a backpack. I have a few more things in mind for it, but I figured...

    News ASRock Unveils the X299E-ITX/ac: Mini ITX + X299 + Quad-channel Memory

I phoned ASRock in the US and the guy on the phone gave me Oct 16th as the date they become available. Not sure how much credibility there is to that. Does anyone have measurements on the height of those riser boards? I am trying to theory-craft what CPU cooler I can get away with fitting in...
