Also if the fan is blocked by a panel that's nearly touching it then there's less airflow, so the air that is getting through gets hotter because it's in contact with the fins longer.

Yeah, I think it's safe to assume you'll see air exhaust temps up to 60C out of the flow through fan. I don't think there will be any issues exhausting that through a top mounted 25mm fan that's quieter than the fans on the GPU itself. What I would be a little concerned about is blowing 60C air...

Thermal cameras measure the IR radiation coming off a surface (+ reflected + transmitted, though these are usually small). They're more or less unaffected by air conditions. You're seeing the temperature of the surface in that image, not the air. They are impacted by the emissivity of the...

Those are just capacitors on either side of the chip, they don't produce much heat and there are thermal vias all around them on the PCB. They don't need cooling. The only thing you may have to worry about is WPM controllers near the V notch that have thermal pads above them on the stock...

No fan on the L12S could be workable, but probably not with full mesh side panels. I suspect you'd need to put tape/plastic/whatever over the mesh near the motherboard except for directly above the heatsink. I think that clear adhesive backed plastic in strategic locations could improve the...

I think your best bet with air cooling is 2x25mm intake fans on the bottom of the case (use it in the originally intended orientation, not the flipped orientation all the watercooling builds use). Have those 2 intake fans on the bottom blowing up and the fin stack on the L12s vertical so it gets...

I think you're overly concerned about the PSU situation. The SF750 is rated for continuous 100% output at 50C ambient. The exhaust air from the flow through fan will likely get hotter than that running Furmark, but the PSU won't be anywhere near 100% loaded. For ML or rendering workloads that...
