From what I and others have found that the only solution so far to to use that converter you mentioned plus an internal usb 3.0 extension cable. Check out the faq on the Dan case site and look under for first tutorial to see what I’m meaning

Hey @dondan do you have any recommendations on using the internal usb 3.1 header in the 4.1 with a motherboard they doesn’t have one? Other than jumping to an intel platform that is.
Lifesaver dude, lifesaver. I’ve been panicking trying to find a fix to my newfound problem and now I can relax now. Thanks. The only thing I found was a 12” extension cable from cablemod.
You right, I did some lookin and the connector faces the wrong way on that adapter and probably others like it. I know I’ve seen usb 3.0 extension cables but I’m sure they’d be too long
Which way will the connector on the adapter face once connected? I guess I understood it would face away from the psu. I’m glad you said something, I may be in the same boat. I was gonna use the ASUS X570 strix.
I second that. Got my case this morning. I got shipping updates but since they were over the weekend, I didn’t get them till this morning along with the case. I didn’t know they were individually numbered as well.
Hey all, newbie here. Just wanted to let everyone know that as of oct 29 my Dan shipped. I ordered mine at the end of sept. Hope everyone else does too.
