    News ASUS STRIX B350I GAMING

This is driving me crazy. Everything has been working fine until last night. I decided to replace the internal IEC cable in my NCASE to a brand new, right-oriented one (bought directly from sfflab) because it seemed like I was straining the old cable due to an extreme bend. In any case, after...

    News ASUS STRIX B350I GAMING

Finally got my x370i up and running. Out of the box I set the multiplier to 38x for my 1600X, set vcore to 1.35v, loaded the xmp profile for TridentZ 3200 CL14 and booted with no problems. Ran Memtest86 for 17 hours (got through 20 passes before I got impatient lol). Then I set vcore to 1.24v...

    News ASUS STRIX B350I GAMING

Don't have the board yet, but how big is the clearance between the heatsink and the SSD? Enough space for a non permanent thermal pad (.5mm, 1mm)?

My G.Skill TridentZ 3200 CL14 seems to be working fine with the XMP profile after updating the BIOS to F5.... haven't stress tested yet, but I'm able to get through a full run of Cinebench without crashing which is really promising!! going to run Memtest overnight to see how it fares :) EDIT...

Huh, looks like they changed it from F4 to F5 today. Sounds promising, I'll give it a shot when I get off work.

Let me know how that goes. I think some of my data got corrupted as well, have been having some minor issues with Windows ever since I tried to get the CL14 sticks working. I started a 10 pass run of Memtest before I went to work this morning @ 3200 CL16-16-16-35, so I'll let you know how that...

    Motherboard GIGABYTE AB350N-Gaming WIFI

I was just going to ask that question, since I'm having difficulty getting B-die RAM to work @ rated speeds of 3200 CL14-14-14-34. I've always assumed that the sensors were correct and set my voltage to 1.3-1.31 in BIOS which seems to run closest to 1.35V in HWiNFO. Is the HWiNFO wrong? Am I...

There's an easier solution to that, and actually the recommended course of action after shorting the jumper: I believe in the "Exit" page in BIOS (or whatever it's called) there should be a setting called "Load Optimized Defaults". Saves you the hassle of doing all that extra stuff :)

Just so we are on the same page, when you are looking at CPU voltage in HWinfo, are you reading the motherboard's sensor or the CPU's sensor? Can you see if you are able to go below 1.30v at idle when manually setting the voltage? And to answer your second question above, yes, that is...

Memory Ryzen RAM - what works @ what speed

Posted this in the ASRock thread, but anyone able to tighten the timings down on Samsung B-Die 3600 CL17 (i.e. Galax HOF) to 3200 @ CL14 on the ASRock boards? I've been trying but crash in P95 within seconds. 16-15-15-34 seems to be stable. Also, manually setting command rate to 1T and...

Anyone able to tighten the timings down on Samsung B-Die 3600 CL17 (i.e. Galax HOF) to 3200 @ CL14 on these boards? I've been trying but crash in P95 within seconds.

I got both boards to test as well. I really prefer the ASRock BIOS so far--I actually feel like I might be able to OC past 3.8 GHz. The RAM compatibility isn't as good as the Gigabyte's, as I suspected. Can't hit DDR4 3600 at 18-18-18-38 on the ASRock. Maybe with looser timings? And yeah, I...

A Gigabyte rep explained the Load-Line Calibration settings to me, in case anyone was curious. According to him: Auto = Normal => 100 % Vdrop Extreme => 0 % Vdrop Medium=> 60% Vdrop Standard => 80% Vdrop
