I like the design OP, keep with it. I think it would be easy to DIY a mesh grill into the case, and maybe even some inner walls to keep the heat flowing out.

Reason against 2.5 hard drive space: Market heavily adopting nvme Also using a NAS is cost effective, and can hold more drives but of course that takes up more space. It depends on gigs per physical volume, or gigs per price, not usually both don't u think?

Maybe with one of these you could route video out of the graphics card to the usb c port from the motherboard. Or you could find something like this for displayport

Just got my case about a month ago. Main issues were as follows: The riser cable seemed to be facing the wrong direction, so the GPU side had to be turned around 180°, meaning that the cable had to not only travel behind the GPU, but also under the riser connector itself, making unnecessary...

I wonder if he was going to implement a selection option for the cable configs. Either way, I hope this whole rough patch for the custom Enhance PSU and Z-Case stuff gets worked out. I was pretty disappointed getting my Z-Case with the regular Enhance PSU since they didn't have the custom one in...

Im sure the outer framing is doing a lot for the rigidity, but you're right, you do have quite a bit of meat where I once thought it was pretty thin, and of course more in the second design. So curious to see how it all turns out! Also, out of curiosity, do you have access bead blaster / sand...

Interesting looking at the thin sections between holes for the first design, looks like it would create a living hinge, where the grill would wobble around. I would be super curious just to see that shape cut out hahaha
