So I know water setups are ideal for this case but what about air coolers (cpu)? Is the L12S the popular choice?
Looking to plan an air setup for my 2600 & 1070itx from a dancase to this case eventually.
In case others are wondering or want to test with the 645lt aio the screws I found to fit the nf-a9x14 to the 545lc were #6-32 x 3/4".
Was using a meanwell & distro 400 to use a 120mm rad but the meanwell made moving the case a pita so I opted back to parts that just fit all in the case.
I know most are getting the Asetek 645lt aio, but for those that got a 545lc before are there recommended screws for using it with the nf-a9? A few build posts on here people have just cut/dremel'ed the screws from the aio but I'd rather not do that.
So I'm summarizing your posts correctly, the temperatures of the build with the Alphacool parts are great but the cable & hose magament is huge hassle in the tight space. How does the pump hold up? is the entire loop just powered by a pump in the cpu block or is there one on the cpu and gpu?
Yup, definily seems like the dell brick was being pushed past its limit where as the meanwell unit is fine since the fan is always on (and seems to default to 100%?).
To be honest I totally forgot about turbulence from being so close to the panel. My initial thought was just to try and keep...
Pcpartpicker tells me I sit at 294w so my corsair 450 has a lot of headroom. With the meanwell 400 TF (top fan) I will still have a lot of headroom depending on what the pull increases to with my cpu and or gpu maxing out.
Rip comrade
I thought I would try to use @Thehack 's distro 400 &...
I believe I had the fan facing so it was blowing on the gpu? Thinking the moving air, even if it was warmer from the cpu could cool the gpu a little? I didn't do as much testing as I could have as I was passing the power limit on the dell brick. Or at least fairly certain I was.
If it can fit under the gpu, maybe? Waiting on parts for Distro 400 to come in than I'll have an update.
With the hdplex I was going over the power limit and it was shutting off playing games since I was capped at 330 from the dell brick. With a limit of 400w I should be able to use my 120 aio...
