Just my 2 cents here, for gaming, you don't need the latest and greatest cpu, it is all about what GPU you are getting. I play overwatch at 1440p @ 130 FPS with high setting. My GPU usage is 85%+ and CPU usage is 30%+. You see where I am going.

Considering how many people have asked and discussed cooling solutions for the current A4, yes, the benefit definitely outweighs the slight increase in volume. I don't see how the A4 and A4-XL could co-exist though.
