Parts and progress for my sons SFF gaming PC

Ah @GuilleAcoustic so I don't necessarily need to use the 4-pin from the 20+4-pin, I can use the 4-pin from there to power the 8-pin CPU/EPS? Well why should it be easy ;)

If you mean then one highlighted in red in the picture here then as I understand it is for the power in. The other one highlighted in green is the 20+4-pin

Yes I read the manual (should have said that to begin with) and saw exactly what you mentioned @tinyitx and that is one of the reasons why I'm asking about it. The way it's formulated in the manual made it sound like there is no way I'll get it to work without power to the 8-pin connector :(

Oops... I got this one https://it-tech-uk.com/collections/pc-power-supply-1/products/e-mini-mini-itx-pc-dc-dc-power-supply-board-htpc-250w-12v-pico-psu?variant=28699911506 On that DC-DC board there is a 4-pin for the power in (I assume) and another 4-pin next to the 20-pin

So another update on this (sorry) Will I need to use the 8-pin CPU/EPS connector on the motherboard? I'm asking because there is not corresponding connector for that on my DC-DC board. I am not planning on putting a high-end CPU or any other demanding parts for that matter, in the machine I...

    Memory DDR4 low profile RAM

Thanks @NinoPecorino I've been looking at them and now I'm even more confused as to what I can and cannot use  As EdZ mentioned I should go for UDIMM and not RDIMM. I looked at the link @NinoPecorino posted and there it says EUDIMM which I'm not familair with so I searched and...

    Dimensions and mountability of KMPKT

So I found a drawing with dimensions right here actually  https://smallformfactor.net/forum/resources/kmpkt-dynamo-360-dc-atx.107/ I hope they are still accurate. Hope there is still someone that can enlighten me as to the mini board is to be mounted, or if it is not meant to be...

    Memory DDR4 low profile RAM

Thanks @EdZ I did look at Crucial Value RAM... Unfortunately Crucial doesn't say much about the dimensions of the RAM on their site. Have seen dimensions listed at Amazon but only once in a while :/

    Memory DDR4 low profile RAM

Hi all :) Does anyone know if it is at all possible to find low profile DDR4 ram? Been googling it and it seems like I can only find server ram. There is a clearance of about 23-25mm for the RAM :/ My situation is that in the case I'm building there is an issue with space between the 24 pin...

    Dimensions and mountability of KMPKT

Hi all So I've gotten some parts delivered for my sons SFF build. Unfortunately I have run in to some issues with the DC board and the motherboard. There's just not enough space. I've been thinking about possibly getting the KMPKT Dynamo and Dynamo mini but I haven't been able to find the...

Parts and progress for my sons SFF gaming PC

So I have been emailing with Larry from HDPlex trying to wrap my head around what I need and don't need :\ I have resorted to creating a drawing in Paint to try go visualize it. I am correct in understanding that I need a DC-DC board (as far as I know that's what they are called) and then I...

Parts and progress for my sons SFF gaming PC

@Nightblade I did look at the Skyreach 4 Mini but unfortunately being in Denmark I'd have to pay way too much for this in fees, importfees, taxes etc. (yeah they love taxes here ) I also looked at Dan Case and several others. Had my eyes fixed on SilverStone ML08 but realized it's way...

@GuilleAcoustic After looking at several power bricks posted in #14 (thanks @Nightblade) I can just as well go with the HDPlex with a power brick. Too bad I didn't ask for help here before I wasted money on the CDP-120ITX :(
