These days there are those cheap Chinese thermal cameras. I forgot the name and model, but they are actually pretty good 👍 In this case you can also use a more subjective method, just feel how hot the pins get. It's all low voltage anyway, so no danger there.

Since I am an electronics engineer myself, I could answer a bit here as well. ;) Unfortunately, the specs and max ratings PC manufactures are using, are not nearly the same as Molex, Wurth etc etc are suggesting (and I am using on a daily basis). I have no idea why this is, and it has been...

The issue here are not just the wires, but the pins have a certain maximum rating as well. So be careful with reducing pins!! Also don't forget that the same return current needs to go over the ground pins/wires. For some reason PC specs of those pins seem to be very low compared to the values...

There still seem to be driver issues, some are very obvious in games like Starfield. That doesn't mean we have to play Starfield all day, but it's an indication that you just have no clue what to expect in the future. I think that support for emulators like Yuzu etc is a bit a hit or miss as well?

The A380 is also still interesting in the regard. I am just still anxious about the driver performance......

This card is now available for around 200-220 euro I guess there aren't many reasons anymore to go for a RTX A2000, unless you're really looking for low power? The Gigabyte seems to be a teeny tiny bit more expensive.

How was the mounting process? I now have a Thermalright, but I think the lower variant is one of the worst mounting systems I've come a cross in the last 20 years lol.

That adapter can also be made from PCB (even in aluminum), which is probably easier/cheaper/quicker :) How is the IS 30 doing btw?

I was watching that video yesterday, kinda silly comparison if you ask me. It feels a bit like they wanted to get the video out fast. Obviously a 8700G or 8600G at launch is not going to be great in price/performance ratio. I also don't think that the intended use case as well. Not to mention...

A bit offtopic, but what's people's experience with those T variants in general? I have been thinking of a very efficient build mostly just for emulation. (Mostly in sense of heat) Ideally up to emulating with yuzu, so switch games. It's only very hard to find any tests or otherwise...

Pretty cool little one slot card this way! I am almost curious if this heatsink also works on RX6400 cards. The mounting looks very similar.

Isn't that what most of us do and sff cases are all about? 😂😂😉 I have seen these added fan adapters, but I find the solution shown in the video much more elegant tbh. Also much easier. The issue I have with most RX6400 cards is just the extremely poor heatsink plus the additional noise.

No love for these cards? 😢 Or are we just all very exited about the upcoming AMD 8x00G series? 😁😎
