GPU Review: Low Profile & Single Slot RTX 4060 (Frankenstein) from Taobao

I don't do that anymore in general these days 😁😇🤣

GPU Review: Low Profile & Single Slot RTX 4060 (Frankenstein) from Taobao

For example it also reminds me how much worse the 6GB RTX3050 performs compared to the 8GB. In this case the 8GB uses quite a bit more power. But just from a price perspective they costs basically the same.

GPU Review: Low Profile & Single Slot RTX 4060 (Frankenstein) from Taobao

I got and use yours 6GB A2000 also mostly for CAD, and seems to be fine for majority of workloads I am doing :) Mostly working with PTC Creo here, almost daily at this point. The VRAM question is more focused on the trend that seems to be happening in recent games, like ; Although this...

GPU Review: Low Profile & Single Slot RTX 4060 (Frankenstein) from Taobao

I am still a little in doubt if the 12GB will be very beneficial? The trend atm seems that newer games especially need more VRAM. But at a certain point you kinda hit a limit of just processing power as well, not being able to fill the VRAM fast enough. What do you guys think?

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

I thought I would chime in here again. I am not gone yet, just a bit being overwhelmed by a certain job from a client as well as still all the things that come along with moving house (well, getting the house fixed rather) I saw some discussion here about 12V power supplies again. @REVOCCASES...

Some people were wonder about the RTX 4000 ADA Here against the 4060 LP

GPU News: Gigabyte / MSI releasing slot powered RTX 3050 Low Profile GPUs

Other low profile 3050 cards seem to show up. The cheapest now is available for just under 200 bucks. At the same time the little rx6400 seems to get more expensive. Makes little sense......

Discussion Reducing wiring of the 24-pin connector

Don't get me wrong, do whatever you want to do with your stuff. (Since electronics is my work as well as hobby, I can guarantee I've done some "interesting" things myself 😀). It was more like a disclaimer against just general advice. More because we don't know how careful people are just...

Discussion Reducing wiring of the 24-pin connector

These days there are those cheap Chinese thermal cameras. I forgot the name and model, but they are actually pretty good 👍 In this case you can also use a more subjective method, just feel how hot the pins get. It's all low voltage anyway, so no danger there.

Discussion Reducing wiring of the 24-pin connector

Since I am an electronics engineer myself, I could answer a bit here as well. ;) Unfortunately, the specs and max ratings PC manufactures are using, are not nearly the same as Molex, Wurth etc etc are suggesting (and I am using on a daily basis). I have no idea why this is, and it has been...

Discussion Reducing wiring of the 24-pin connector

The issue here are not just the wires, but the pins have a certain maximum rating as well. So be careful with reducing pins!! Also don't forget that the same return current needs to go over the ground pins/wires. For some reason PC specs of those pins seem to be very low compared to the values...

GPU News: Gigabyte / MSI releasing slot powered RTX 3050 Low Profile GPUs

There still seem to be driver issues, some are very obvious in games like Starfield. That doesn't mean we have to play Starfield all day, but it's an indication that you just have no clue what to expect in the future. I think that support for emulators like Yuzu etc is a bit a hit or miss as well?

GPU News: Gigabyte / MSI releasing slot powered RTX 3050 Low Profile GPUs

The A380 is also still interesting in the regard. I am just still anxious about the driver performance......

GPU News: Gigabyte / MSI releasing slot powered RTX 3050 Low Profile GPUs

This card is now available for around 200-220 euro I guess there aren't many reasons anymore to go for a RTX A2000, unless you're really looking for low power? The Gigabyte seems to be a teeny tiny bit more expensive.

    Log brickless 2.7L MoDT build - Lzmod RLY-V2, RTX A2000 8GB & Erying 13500H DDR5

How was the mounting process? I now have a Thermalright, but I think the lower variant is one of the worst mounting systems I've come a cross in the last 20 years lol.
